Bristol is one of the best cities in the UK. Okay, so we might be biased as it’s also the base for HenQueens HQ but you only have to look at the range of bars, restaurants and fun activities on offer to see just how amazing it is for hen parties.

Plus, it’s not too big – compared to the likes of London – meaning you can walk around and get to see the whole city in just a few days. It’s also really easy to get there – via car, train and plane – meaning no-one has to miss out.

Like the sound of it? We’ve pulled together some of the best things to do on a Bristol hen do, for all ages and budgets.

  1. Wander around the city

So this might not be an activity, technically. But if you’re not from around here or don’t venture into the city much, then we highly recommend that you spend a few hours exploring Bristol itself. As one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations, the city is renowned for its incredible architecture, beautiful green spaces and uplifting street art scene. There’s also lots of art galleries, museums and, of course, cocktail bars if you fancy a drink or two…

  2. Shopping and champagne

Another reason why Bristol is so popular is because of its incredible shopping scene. The Shopping Quarter, Cabot Circus and The Mall all have a range of labels – from independent, high street and big-name brands. Perhaps you’re looking for something to wear in the evening or maybe you don’t even need a reason to treat yourself. Either way, you could make this even more special with a personal styling experience and cocktails somewhere fancy. Or, we’re more than happy to arrange afternoon tea for the group too.

  3. Yoga sessions

Bristol is cool, it’s creative and expressive – and there’s a whole load of yoga experts bringing you unique and fun hen party sessions. One of our favourites has to be yoga and brunch. After all, what better way to start your morning? After 60-minutes of pure bliss, you’ll be shown to your table where you can feast on the finest grazing platters in the city. But there’s also yoga disco (to the finest 80s music) as well as your more traditional yoga experiences.

  4. Get crafty

Hen parties don’t have to be about downing drinks and putting on your highest heels. At least not until after 5pm, right? If you’re looking for an activity that means you don’t have to touch another drop of alcohol for at least 60 minutes, a DIY craft session could be just the thing. From flower crown making to tote bag decorating and everything in between, Bristol has some of the best crafty suppliers that definitely know how to throw a party or two.

  1. Head into the countryside

Whether you’re a country bumpkin at heart or just want to see what the rest of the region has to offer, you’ll be pleased to know that Bristol is surrounded by some gorgeous countryside. Spend your days going on long walks and refuel in a traditional pub. Head off for a fizzy picnic and set up camp for a few hours as you take in the views. Or, do something really different and get out on the open waters in a SUP party

  1. Have a night in with a private chef

Trust us, when you see the kind of luxury hen party houses in Bristol that we have, you’ll definitely want to stay in and make the most of it. Why not host the ultimate pre-drinks with your very own hen party DJ before kicking back and enjoying a private chef? Masterchef finalist Ben will come up with a delicious menu, and cook up an incredible three course meal. All you have to do is keep your glasses topped up.
