Countryside walk and gourmet Champagne picnic
What to expect
Don your hiking boots and take a trip to the rolling hills near Bristol where your group will meet with your local walking guide.
Take a short stroll along a meandering river before stopping with your crew for elevenses of freshly brewed coffee, tea and cake. If you can tear yourself away from delicious bites like salted caramel tea loaf, or raspberry and white chocolate blondies, we’ll be impressed!
Fuelled for the day, you’ll be ready to take on the hills to reach one of the best views in the south west, and your lunch stop. Awaiting you will be a picnic feast beautifully prepared by the team’s resident chef. Cue scoffing on a gourmet spread – think Scotch eggs, local cheese, delicious salads and sides. Of course, dietary requirements can be catered for!
Enjoy your amazing spread sat on picnic blankets, admiring the view with a glass of fizz in-hand and your fellow hens by your side. Once you’ve had your fill, your guide will lead the way back to the start of the loop where they will point you in the direction of the best local pubs. After all, what’s better than a post-plod drink?
Who is it for?
In short, everyone! However, we find that adventurous hen groups that love the great outdoors, and/or foodie-loving hens who enjoy a gourmet feast have the best time. One thing’s for sure, it’s a great activity for groups that might not know each other very well. We can also tailor the activity to suit up to 12 hens.
Can we add extra stop-offs?
Of course! The full experience lasts around 4-5 hours but can include additional breaks if you require. Add-ons are also available and can be tailored to your group, including a stop at a distillery for a gin tasting. Yes please…
How do we book?
Simply get in touch with HenQueens for a bespoke quote. We just need to know rough group numbers and if you’d like to stop off anywhere. We can then start planning your gourmet picnic and walk!
